A music documentary about drumming as art, lifestyle and artistic freedom. The virtuoso drummer and composer Yoràn Vroom is central, with supporting roles for his mentor and old master Eddy Veldman and the up-and-coming talent Nathan Burnett.

In addition to directing documentaries, John Appel has been a cameraman for various documentaries and youth series. Since 2001 he is also a guest lecturer at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. John Appel became known to a large audience with the documentary She Believes In Me, which was also directed by Zeppers Film. The film also marked the umpteenth revival in the career of the main character André Hazes.
